Truth is it's almost the biggest juiciest national holiday here in Indonesia, Idul Fitri, and I got more deadlines than I could handle right now. Please stick around, I'll be back as usual :)

....and almost over a month I abandon this blog. *sob* Currently in high summer holiday mood, so I spent much time running barefoot in the garden with Baby G, spraying water hose. I don't know , I kinda avoid anything high tech during summer. Also the fact that Baby G will start her first real school without me *gasp* terrify me a bit. You know, how much I will miss her during those 2 hours everyday?

anyhoo..

Unable to meet my nautical holiday dream, I am currently mesmerized over other summer holiday probability: a nice lazy summer afternoon under the trees. Think : Where the Wild Things Are. Rope hammocks and tents are purely a must. Enough with words, let the wild rumpus start with these pics.

Embracing Summer

Hello, everyone. How was your weekend? Did you kiss your mother or are you getting ones? There's nothing crafty post today, I'm sorry, been busy with deadlines and Baby G (not a very good combination, I wouldn't suggest it to anyone). But still, I'd like to greet you with my first ever video post (but no, it's not mine, I found it on youtube, click it and it will take you directly to the uploader's site), since I never like putting anything moving in my blog because the connection I'm stuck with makes it looks like a broken old movies, this video is nothing but still picture with beautiful music. Good News!

Extra! Extra! Some of my printables are available to print, once again! I decided to use Scribd, tough it takes time for me to understand the procedure (not the tech savvy gal here) and finally upload the files (and 3 times firefox connection failure while I was uploading), and in the celebration of the printables' comeback, I'd like to thank Jenn of rookno17 for the tip, yippeee, thanks, Jen!

Why "some of them"? I will eventually upload them all back, but I try to find the best connection of the day, because when it's not the best time, it's very frustrating, trust me. If you find your favorite printables still unable to be downloaded, please, do tell me, which one is it, and I try to upload it for you.
In the mean time, there's this new blog I am curently obsessed about called bukaretsleting. It's about a twenty something lad who is willing to execute your dare, any dare, proposed to him on the blog. My favorite one is him going to a crowded mall in pink leggings and him kissing a mean looking police officer. He just started out, but I do wish for more.

Vintage at Heart

I used to cringe at my mom's old fashioned cooking appliances, table cloth, and even plastic cloth hanger that maybe she bought in the 70's. Now that I see Little Miss Heirloom store, I regret why didn't I rip my mom's vintage stuffs and dress my home with those. Pricilla, the owner of the store and mom of 2 great looking boys is providing authentic vintage pieces for nursery decor, playroom, party supplies and even books. Just look at these treasures.

This one is my favorite, vintage kitchen play set!! Not to mention the matching fridge!

I maybe fight Miss G to play with these first. Shame on you, you, you..shameless mother! *slapped myself* OK, now unto the fun part. April has long gone, but there's always an excuse to get lost in the melancholy of rain. You can always tell that I'm a big sucker for rain (no, not the Korean artist, the water-y thing falls from the sky, he's fine, but..oh well, you know what I mean). Yes, you can tell I'm a fan from the blog header, even if you're a reader from the very first babalisme's post, here's my header back then..

Rainy, eh? So, if you're in the mood of some shower, I just found this great site with a huge dedication to melody, Lullatone . Shawn, the owner, is a very nice young man (now I sound like an old granny) and he has this very cute little baby, Niko! You should drop by sometimes. Also recommended is Lullatone's raindrop melody maker game, trust me, you wouldn't stop!! I think it's a good game to play on rainy day (or not) with the kids too! I play and listen to this all day.

Speaking of food...

...lately I've been obsessed with food related blog, nooo..not the kind that writes fancy recipes and deliciously, mouth watering, culinary experience, though I like that kind of blogs too, but "quirky" food blog. Remember food face? We had our fun.

And...I want you all to meet Twinkie!! She eats Yucky Stuff and send us the whole report about it (and videos, they're funny, go watch!).

This is apparently, green tea porridge.. .. .. Ok, weird but you're not thrilled, are you, but I'm saving the worst at Twinkie's place, so this porridge is nothing!

..ff..food? I just stumbled upon this fun blog recently, and I'm hooked. Too bad the blog's not updated often. I go there everyday just to see a gross face made of food (sometimes plate leftovers). Ok..

.. I don't usually post a health products review or hygiene products, or ..er... I don't even know what category this product falls into. But anyway I think it fits my blog because hey, it has good design. Ehem.. sooo, this is for us ladies, ..to...pee while standing.

You may laugh and/or ask "who needs such a thing", "do you want to be a man, you radical feminist", "grooooosss!!", etc, but you haven't seen our public lavatory. I'd rather hold it for the next 2 hours than sit my lovely clean b**t on top of that nasty toilet ring. I have been half standing half sitting up until now, but sometimes it is really hard to do when I wear high heels, clutch a big bag in my arms, or the public toilet is beyond disgusting. I think it's suitable for adventurers and backpackers too, since you'll never know where and when you have to pee in your adventure, right?

Sooooooo... what do you think? If you've been using it, please let me know your experience.

My brother's feeling a lot better, but he has to stay at the hospital for while longer. I thought he looked pretty bored now that's he's fully alert and awake, not the drowsy one I used to see in the hospital bed, hehe, though I have to admit that he looked funny in fever (bad sister!!). I went to a bookstore yesterday, hoping to find something for him to read in bed. I found something for him, a textbook he might like, and.....look what I found for myself! They were there on a dusty SALE pile nobody cares to look at. Thank you, brother!


I bought two children books, both in mint conditions, only a bit dusty, "Guri&Gura's Special Gift" by Reiko Nakagawa and Yuriko Yamawaki and "Goodnight, Koguma" by Wakayama Ken. I won't tell you the price of each right now, I'll let you guess until the end of the post, you can look, but it's always more fun to guess, because the price is something that made post about this in the first place. Here are the pictures to look how great are they. (Koguma reminds me a lot of Dick Bruna's Miffy, and apparently Koguma reads Miffy book before he goes to sleep!)



And now, I have to remind you that both books are imported, hard covered, with good quality printing, which have to cost me more, right? The Guri&Gura book is 10.000IDR, less than 1US$, maybe about 90 cents, the Koguma is 5.000IDR, more or less equals about 50 cents.

I am very lucky. hehe.
